Gildan Adult T-Shirt Size Chart (Unisex)

The Gildan 5000, 2000, 2300, 8000, 8300, 5400, 2400, and 2410 list the same chest and length at every size they come in. This is the chart to use for a unisex Gildan tee; the women's tees have their own chart below. A small measures 18 inches across and 28 inches long, and a 5XL measures 32 by 35. Our Gildan 5000 size chart gives the same grid in centimeters.

The Softstyle 64000 shares these chest widths and adds an XS at 16 by 27 inches. From medium to 4XL it runs a quarter to half an inch longer. A 64000 large, for example, is 30 1/4 inches long against 30 on the others. That gap is smaller than the inch Gildan allows the 64000 to vary.

The 5400 and 8300 stop at 3XL and the 2410 at 4XL, while the rest run to 5XL. Check the largest person in a group against a style before choosing it.

Gildan Women's Size Chart: 2000L and 64000L

The women's Ultra Cotton 2000L keeps the adult tee's chest at every letter and cuts the body 3 inches shorter. Gildan's Softstyle 64000L is an inch narrower than the adult tee at each letter, with a length within an inch of the 2000L. Both women's tees stop at 3XL, so anyone who needs a 4XL or 5XL takes an adult tee.

Anyone who likes how an adult medium fits across the chest but wants a shorter body can take a medium in the 2000L. Gildan calls the 2000L a classic fit with a feminine pattern. For a closer fit in lighter cloth, the 64000L is semi-fitted with side seams and made of 4.5 oz cotton.

Gildan Youth Size Chart Next to the Adult Sizes

A youth XL in the Heavy Cotton 5000B or Ultra Cotton 2000B is as wide as an adult medium and 2 1/2 inches shorter. Each youth letter also carries a kids' clothing size, from a size 4 at XS to 18 to 20 at XL. The 5000B and 2000B share one youth chart, while Gildan's Softstyle 64000B is cut about a size smaller at each letter.

An adult small is 2 inches narrower than that Heavy Cotton youth XL but 1 1/2 inches longer.

Gildan Crewneck Sweatshirt Size Chart

The Gildan 18000 crewneck sweatshirt comes in XS to 5XL. Each size is 2 inches wider and 1 inch shorter than the adult tee of the same letter. Its chart also gives the sleeve, measured from the center of the back.

The 18500 hoodie's spec lists the same numbers as the 18000, so a group can mix crewnecks and hoodies by letter. The Softstyle SF500 hoodie keeps that chest and runs 1 inch longer. The 18600 full-zip runs 3/4 inch narrower from small to 4XL. Its 5XL is 32 1/4 inches across against 34 on the pullovers, so the roomiest 5XL is a pullover.

How Do You Size a Mixed Group on One Gildan Order?

Size a mixed Gildan group by chest first and length second. Find each person's chest width below, then pick the youth, women's, or adult tee whose length suits them.

The table shows why one letter cannot carry a whole group. An 18-inch chest can be a youth medium, a women's small, or an adult small. Across those three shirts, the body runs from 23 1/2 to 28 inches long. Odd widths such as 17 and 19 inches appear only in the youth styles and the women's 64000L.

For a group that needs adult, women's, and youth cuts in one fabric, pick Gildan's Ultra Cotton. All three cuts are 6 oz cotton, and the 2000 and 2000L share a chest at every letter. The 2000B's 16, 18, and 20-inch chests line up with the 2000L's XS, small, and medium. Softstyle also comes in all three cuts in lighter 4.5 oz cotton, but its women's 64000L runs an inch narrower than the 64000.

How Big Can One Logo Be Across Gildan Cuts?

In a mixed group, the smallest spot sets a shared design's size: Gildan's youth tees take smaller logos, and hoodie fronts run shorter. Our product pages list the largest size each spot takes on each style, and the numbers shrink with the cut.

Full fronts, full backs, and the pocket itself are printed. Chest, sleeve, and upper back spots take print, embroidery, or a patch. On the upper back, embroidery or a patch stays within 4 x 4 inches. The pocket tees have no full front or left chest, so a shared design for them uses the right chest, a sleeve, or the back.

Our cart holds a shared design to one rule: a style has to offer every placement the design uses, at the same size or larger. So a 13 x 17 front print cannot add a women's or youth tee, but a 10 x 14 front fits them all. Hoodie fronts are shorter: 14 x 10.5 on the 18500 and SF500, 12 x 8 on the youth 18500B, and none on the full-zip. A front up to 10 x 8 inches fits every Gildan style we carry that has a full front.

Once the sizes are set, every style, color, and size you add to one design counts together. The more pieces in it, the cheaper each piece. There is no minimum. Larger sizes can add a per-piece charge shown on the product page, and apparel ships in 1 to 2 weeks.

Does Gildan make adult XS t-shirts?

Yes, in a few styles. Among the Gildan styles we carry, the Softstyle 64000 comes in an adult XS at 16 x 27 inches. The women's 2000L XS is 16 x 23 1/2. The 18000 crewneck and the 18500 and SF500 hoodies come in XS too, while the 5000 and 2000 tees start at small.

What is the difference between Gildan 5000 and 2000 sizes?

There is none on the chart. The Heavy Cotton 5000 and Ultra Cotton 2000 list the same chest and length from small to 5XL. The difference is the cloth: the 2000 is 6 oz cotton against 5.3 oz on the 5000, so the same size feels heavier. Both can share one design, and everyone still sizes by the same letter.

Why does my Gildan shirt measure differently from the chart?

Gildan's spec data lets every chest and length run up to an inch over or under the chart. Adult chests are 2 inches apart, twice that allowance. Youth chests are only 1 inch apart on most sizes, so two neighboring youth sizes can measure the same across the chest in hand.
